Certificates of Deposit (CDs) let you invest your money at a higher interest rate than a traditional savings account. Unlike money market accounts, you can deposit as little as $1,000, but you cannot withdrawal any of the funds until the term of the CD is over.

Annual Percentage Yield (APY) for CDs 1-5 years is based on annual compounding. CDs less than 1 year will compound at term. The APY assumes interest will remain on deposit until maturity. A withdrawal will reduce earnings.

CD Special compounds quarterly and credits interest quarterly.

A penalty may apply for early withdrawal. Early withdrawal penalties: maturity date of one year or less is three months interest; maturity date more than one year is six months interest.

Interest will be credited at term for CDs 1 year or less. Interest for CDs greater than 1 year may be compounded or automatically deposited to your Community Bank Owatonna checking or savings account annually.

You will have 10 calendar days after maturity to withdraw the funds without a penalty.
