What items do I need to open a checking account?

For all new accounts, we need a valid current identification such as a driver’s license, state ID card or U.S. passport. In some cases, we will also request address verification. A minimum opening deposit is required for checking and savings accounts.

How can I find out if a check has cleared, what my balance is or the amount of my direct deposit?

Online banking customers will always have access to this information by logging into their accounts. Other customers may contact us, and we can assist with these questions.

How can I add or remove someone from my checking account?

To add an owner, stop in anytime and see a Personal Banker.

To remove an owner, stop in anytime and see a Personal Banker to close the account and open a new one with your new ownership preferences.

What is the cutoff time for deposits?

Any transactions made prior to 5 p.m. will be processed the same business day. Transactions made after 5 p.m. will be processed on the next business day, and those made on Saturday at the drive-up will be processed on the next business day.

How do I place a stop payment on an item?

A stop payment can be placed by coming into the bank and signing a stop payment form. There is a $35.00 fee for a stop payment.

Can I receive my bank statement electronically?

Yes, you can enroll for e-statements during your Online Banking session.

How safe is my checking account?

Debit Card FAQ

Is there a limit on my debit card?

For security purposes, there is a daily limit on your debit card. You are allowed $500.00 towards point of sale purchases and $300.00 for ATM withdrawals.

Can I get a debit card, and what are the charges?

All of our personal checking accounts and business checking accounts may be accessed by a debit card. This is a free service.

How do I report if my debit card is lost or has been stolen?

Please call us immediately to report a lost or stolen card. We can be reached at 507-455-2265, or you can contact debit services at 1-866-546-8273.

How do I reset the PIN for my debit card?

Please call 1-888-891-2435.

If I am traveling and plan on using my debit card, should I notify the bank?

Our debit cards are accepted worldwide. However, you must notify us at least one day prior to any international travel.

How long does it take to get a debit card?

You can expect to receive your debit card 7-10 business days after the card is ordered.
